He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 1997, and registered in the Egyptian Bar Association in 1998. In 2001, he applied in the Academy of the French Lawyer’s Syndicate in Paris in order to acquire his French accreditation. However, the French and Egyptian Lawyer’s Syndicates didn’t have an agreement for reciprocal accreditation, a necessary condition for him to enroll in the Academy.Khaled Abou Bakr was the first lawyer to work hand in hand with the Head of the Paris Lawyer’s Syndicate to prepare and sign the first cooperation agreement between Egypt and France in the legal profession in 2002. He got his accreditation in France, and also obtained a membership in the International Federation of Young Lawyers in Brussels.

In 2003, Maître Abou Bakr was appointed as coordinator for external relations for the International Justice Relations in Paris. He obtained a membership in the American Bar Association, Egyptian- French Businessmen Association, and International Bar Association in London. A decision from the Supreme Council of French Trade Unions registered him for pleading before the Paris Courts of Appeal in 2004.

From 2004 to 2011 he was a researcher in Criminal Law, Labor Law, International Business Law, and Family Law at the High Institute of Law in Paris. In 2004, he was also selected as a certified lawyer for the Egyptian Courts of Appeal-and the State Council. In 2006, he was selected as a certified lawyer for the French Consulate in Cairo, and was elected as a member of the Egyptian- French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt in 2008.
